Covid – 19 updates
Dear Parents,
Apologies for the delay in the message getting out. Our text to parents service crashed yesterday evening due to volume of traffic.
I am sure you will have watched the announcement yesterday at 8pm from the PM regarding the closure of all schools as from tonight.
As you will imagine, this was a surprise in one respect and not in another.
As a school, we will be here to support you in this next phase of lockdown. However, this does need some time to plan and organise the remote learning and key worker/vulnerable children who will be entitled to physically come into school.
As a result, we have taken the decision, to close the school to ALL CHILDREN today, Tuesday 5th January 2021.
This will enable us to put in place our best possible remote learning we can offer as well as organise key worker/vulnerable groups for the coming days.
The list of children whose parents can be classed as key workers has been updated. Please follow the link to this guidance.
We will begin to accept requests for places for children on this basis, there will be an online form sent out later to complete if you are eligible. This list also contains those children with EHCP’s and are vulnerable (those under social care).
More details will be communicated to you via email today with plans for the coming weeks.
I am sure that you will be anxious about remote learning once again, but you did so brilliantly last spring and summer. We will be here for you and support your children through their learning and you in assisting them in this.
